Alpha 2.1.0


Alpha 2.1.0 is here!

That's right! Alpha 2.1 is here and it got some cool changes and quality of life fixes implemented, this update is a necessary step toward Alpha 3, all development is now focused on Alpha 3 and 4  and we have some really cool stuff on the way!

New Interaction System

The interaction system has been rebuilt to allow for multiple interactions on an object, you can scroll through the interactions with the scroll wheel, and you will need to hold e to save hostages now, this new system is gonna allow us to create some cool more intricate stuff in the future and it looks a hell of a lot cleaner.


Gunplay Updates

Big parts of the gun systems have been reworked to allow for expansion, the main difference you will notice is ammo types! Each gun has multiple types of ammo that can be changed by holding R, the original magazine reload menu has been redone for this purpose, It's currently difficult to tell how many mags you have left, this will be sorted out in Alpha 3 with the UI redesign coming up.



New Radial Menus

As mentioned above the original magazine reloading menu when holding R has been redone and changed into the ammo type menu, there is also a new weapon wheel when holding Q, in the backend they are a lot cleaner now.


What's next?

Alpha 3 is next! It's a big one so you'll have to bear with me, but here are a few things we are looking forward to adding:

  • Completely new AI systems, AI will take cover and move around, this will be made expandable for our future plans.
  • Texturing of levels, the levels will soon have colour and look like proper levels.
  • Random enemy patrols
  • Crouching
  • Kicking doors open (and enemies if you are quick!)
  • UI Redesign
  • Other cool stuff you'll have to wait and see for ;)
